This page explains what happens to personal data when you visit Dust & Amber (https://www.dustandamber.com/). The short version: this site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of its own, and it does not ask you for anything unless you write to us.
Who is responsible
The data controller is DustAndAmber.com, reachable at info@dustandamber.com. Please complete these details before publishing the page.
What is collected
- Server logs. Like every website, the hosting provider records the IP address, the browser used, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are deleted automatically after a short period set by the provider.
- Comments. If comments are enabled and you leave one, WordPress stores the name, the email address and the IP address you used, so the comment can be shown and moderated.
- Emails. If you write to the address above, your message and address are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.
- Embedded videos. Song pages contain videos hosted on YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play: see the cookie policy for the detail.
Why, and on what legal basis
Server logs and security measures rest on the legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected from abuse. Comments and emails rest on your own request to take part or to be answered. Content loaded from YouTube rests on the consent you give by pressing play.
Who else sees the data
The hosting provider, which keeps the site online and acts as a processor on our behalf, and Google Ireland Ltd. for the videos, but only from the moment you start one. Nothing is sold, rented or handed to anyone for advertising purposes.
How long it is kept
Server logs follow the provider retention period, usually a few weeks. Comments stay until they are deleted. Emails are kept as long as the exchange is useful, and then removed.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before. Write to info@dustandamber.com.
If you believe something is wrong you can also complain to your national supervisory authority. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.gpdp.it).
Changes to this page
If the way the site works changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
